Mafco Football Club has lodged a complaint against Silver Strikers over an incident in which suspected Silver Strikers supporters poured urine on Mafco players during their TNM Super League match at Silver Stadium in Lilongwe on Thursday.
During the match which ended goalless, the Silver supporters were involved in suspected juju rituals by pouring the urine on Mafco goalkeeper Christopher Mikuwa.

After the match, another supporter went on to pour the substance on Mafco players as they made their way to the tunnel.

The statement reads in part: “The spectators engaged in unacceptable conduct in three to four scenarios, including throwing and pouring out some liquids on our players after final the whistle of the match.
“But more significantly, is the incident that transpired on the northern side of the pitch when one spectator, in full view of the match stewards and enter onto the football arena to pour out some disgusting fluids on our goalkeeper and it has come to our evidence that those fluids were urinal discharges.
“We hope Football authorities will look into these embarrassing actions exhibited by these individuals, using video footages which are readily available and bring the culprits to book for them to face the law.”
Meanwhile, Silver have also issued a statement condemning the incident and apologised to Mafco.
